Fire management at Mt Gibson
No substantial fires have occurred on Mt Gibson over the last 10 years.
Firebreaks have been installed to protect the feral-free area and to “break up” the property in the event of wildfire.
A fire strategy is being developed. A key objective is to prevent extensive, intense wildfires, which can alter the structure and integrity of woodlands and shrublands.
