SMH visits AWC’s Wongalara Wildlife Sanctuary, Australia’s largest feral herbivore-free area - 29/09/12

Sydney Morning Herald's science reporter Nicky Phillips and photographer Peter Rae visited AWC's Wongalara Sanctuary in September 2012 as work was concluding on the largest feral herbivore-free area in Australia. Over the 18 months prior, sanctuary manager Chris Whatley had overseen the construction of more than 160 kilometres of fence around more than 1,000 square kilometres of tropical savanna.
